You all really surprised me! The official number is 46 candles, though everyone is telling me I should just admit to 29. ;)

Hubby has been organizing a stream of people singing to me all day at work. Needless to say not much work is getting done. I went out and bought my birthday cake this afternoon. It's family tradition to buy one from a special bakery in town - this year it has sugar dolphins and icing palm trees. Tonight we're doing steaks on the grill, mashed cauliflower, sweet potatoes and salad w/ dried cranberries. Then we're snuggling down for a movie until bedtime with the youngest - then it's a deathmatch of SuperScrabble for my teen, hubby and myself.

The whole idea of the evening is to forget about work, performance evals, taxes, and kid's homework over break.
