The father I never knew
I never knew my father.

My mom recently went to a nursing home, and while going through her papers, I found his obit. I also found out he lived within a mile of me for 10 years.

I regret not reaching out to him before his death, but he had remarried and had another family. I didn't want to cause trouble if they didn't know about me.

Here is his chart. Could one of the astros look at it and give me a few adjectives about him? I would be forever grateful. It's set for Noon, as I don't know his birth time. Thanks.

1. Here's a hug from me
I didn't know where my father was after I was 8 years old. Found out about him only when he died when I was in my 30s. It is hard. Hope you are able to find out something about him.

I feel horrible about it. Guilt.

My mother kept everything about him from me.

3. Wow.
Pisces with Gemini Ascendant and Leo Moon! I bet he was a little "moody", but a dreamy romantic.
And, popular but perhaps doubted himself?

I'm no professional at all, so please read what astro.com has to say should no one else here offer suggestions!

What was his career?

7. Hi, Syz!
Since she doesn't know his birth time, we don't know the ascendant or what sign rules each house or what house each planet is in.

5. Hi Holly
I hope you are able to gleen more info about your Dad.
Some of us, even though our Dads were present, they were absent emotionally...or worse.
I hope you are able to find some answers in his chart and wish you all the best.

8. I'm not an astrologer, but I can point out a few things that I see.
I see a Grand Water Trine Kite. The Grand Water Trine is Pluto in Cancer, Mars in Scorpio, and Saturn in Pisces. The kite is created by Jupiter in Capricorn.

Grand Water Trines tend to make the person intuitive and emotional. Grand Trines are easy energies that can be taken for granted by the person and therefore not really be used in productive ways. The fact that the Grand Trine is part of a kite makes it more likely that this gift would be used by the person in whose chart it appears.

Pluto, Mars and Saturn are rather heavy, serious planets, so I'm not sure how that would manifest in his life in reference to intuition and emotions.

The Pluto/Jupiter opposition which is part of the kite is also part of a T-square with Venus.

I got the following from http://www.skyscript.co.uk/aspects2.html :

The tension of the 'T' Square focuses on the planet at the apex, in this case Venus, and the part of the chart immediately opposite may also act as a focus for problems. By coping with them the whole situation can be eased and turned to advantage. (Note: this is Venus (house unknown) in his chart.)

Sorry that I can't tell you more. Maybe someone else can give more details.

10. That's really interesting since they're not all that common.
Are both of yours also Grand Water Trines?

By the way, my situation was very similar to yours in reference to my birth father.

12. Hi, WhiteTara.
This link explains it:

http://www.lunarliving.org/astrology/grandtrine_kite.shtml

Does this make sense? Do you see it in Holly_Hobby's father's chart? The Grand Water Trine is the triangle between Pluto, Mars & Saturn. The things that makes it a kite are the two sextiles that go from Mars & Saturn to Jupiter.

13. my brain goes hibbly wibbly when I look at
charts! My palms sweat and I spend enormous amounts of concentration with little result. I marvel at you who can make sense of the tangle of lines running around the circle.

But, I did understand the explanation...even though I couldn't find the symbols. Thanks.
