Not that it really matters...lol...but an update - Monday DID shift things...
but sooooo not in a good way (although, who knows? Perhaps in the big picture there is a divine plan going on here ;) ).

My computer died last weekend (not the kind of rebirth I was envisioning), and it was confirmed on Monday. I make my living with the computer, so it's a nightmare when something goes wrong. Long story, but whenever I have to get a new computer - in addition to the $$ challenge that presents -- it's hard to get the various software I use reloaded and synchronized, as some version inevitably changes and it affects EVERYTHING. Ughhhhh......

I'm limping along with a very temporary setup until my new Dell comes in (thank goodness I have an account with them!), but am essentially only checking email as this computer acts weird when online and I can't risk anything happening. Sticking to what I need to do and that's it. Posting at computer forums to ask questions.

BTW, Wishadoo is okay...just at a crossroads as we find a new webmaster, and we are in discussion with someone, so that is a very good thing. *fingers crossed* Being freed from The Others (as I unaffectionately call them) was a beautiful thing; now, it's time to move forward in a big way once the foundation of the new webmaster is set and he/she tweaks a few key features at the main site.

I suppose I'm grateful my computer snafu occurred during this lull.

Very icky, confining feeling. But, hey, they are certainly much bigger challenges than computer and work woes, right? ;)

I haven't read what is going on here since last week, so please know I send you all hugs and hope things shifted in a very positive way for you all this week, since so many were facing a variety of challenges.

Things just feel plain weird to me this week. Maybe it's because of my computer hell, but it just feels weird and disconnected and very unstable all the way around. That's the "vibe" I'm picking up. ;)

Thinking of you all.....   :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

1. I'm sorry to hear of your troubles, OGR.
I noticed your absence and hoped that you were OK.

I hope that things get better very quickly and you are feeling better all around.

2. Me, too, OneGrassRoot.
I do send that situations lighten up for you quickly.
Yes, things did shift on Monday. For the better and ever so slightly but I'm taking it and sending some of mine to you.

3. I hope this is only a minor adjustment
one that is needed to get everything in alignment. BTW, a question--I got a response to someone who saw my offer of a sewing machine on Wishadoo. We are in the process of getting it ready to be shipped to her. Once I know she has it (uncertain right now on shipping, so it might fall through), how do I go about changing the offer--and telling everyone it was a successful give away?

4. ugh...
hopefully the transition to a new computer will go smoothly and you find yourself empowered more than before with it. (But I understand what you mean about the pain of upgrades. I dread replacing my 15 year old pc -- and I only use it for getting out of work, lol!).

are really just extensions of our brains, so it's little wonder you feel the way you do.

7. Hasn't been a good change for me, either,
but not technical-related; personal/family relations down the drain. SO I keep coming back here hoping for hints of improvement.

Keep Writing, folks!
