So, how'd you all during this past week's shift?
And Mars squaring Pluto this morning? Most people I know are smashing down the accelerator!

Hope you all did well!?:toast:

1. Smashing down the accelerator?
Is that what's supposed to be happening? I actually feel like for me it' just the opposite. After MONTHS of scrambling at work, suddenly my job share partner is back and the work load has even eased a bit...for now.

(I shouldn't even say that out loud, I'll jinx it.)

2. I started exercising!
And for me, that's saying something. I HAAAATE exercising--it's like torture to me. I am never happier than when I'm sitting still. But at the end of last week, when we were in Florida, I announced to the family (warned them?) that I was going to start when we got back. And I did! :hi:

3. I've got to admit, the edge is gone.
Out of nowhere, I found the most unlikely person to help me with work, just doling a little bit at a time off to her. But, man, I can think and sleep deeply again and even managed a very nice birthday yesterday. Thanks for the timely encouragement. Well, back to work!

Oh! and sudden manifestations; such as wishing for something and it immed. finds its way to me/us. Not everything, but at least three times.

10. Today, I had a great reading with a friend who is an astrologer.
Edited on Wed Apr-22-09 06:35 PM by Flying Dream Blues
In fact, she is the person who started me on the path of learning about astrology, about 21 years ago. It was a great reading and I think it really helped me refocus on my life path. As much as you look at your own chart, it's wonderful to get different takes and insights. It was a great day. Having Mars square Pluto natally, maybe I'm less upset when those energies combine in the world?

The reading was a bright spot after a tough several days. A very good friend and mentor's daughter died by suicide on Friday. It was deeply shocking and sad, and much of my energy has been going toward supporting her during this time. I didn't know her daughter except to meet her briefly on a few occasions, but her mom is like a mother to me, and even more so after my mom's death a few years ago. She's been wonderful and supportive of me so many times, that I want to do everything I can to be with her in her grief.

Grieving for the pain of others also causes us to revisit losses of our own, and I've been doing that as well.

On the home front, a large outdoor project has become unstuck and is moving foward as of last week, so that seems a very positive shift.

Edited to add:
:toast: right back to ya, Rick!

30. Basically good news
No, I think if you have the natal Mars/Pluto square, when it happens currently once again, it is more like to stir up old issues. Yes, I think you are used to the aggravated energy, and get over it quickly.
The issue is simple here.

If you have managed to be ASSERTIVE in your life and not be aggressive, that goes a long way to solving this natal tension.
THis comes from aggressive men in your past or past life,IMHO

42. I can verify the aggressive man in this life, LOL.
But it has also manifested in work relationships with women a couple of times, too.

Anyway, yes, I do have much more of a sense of my own empowerment these days and am much more able to be assertive when I need to be. I used to just freeze and take the abuse then get so angry, in private. I have a hard time even remembering being that person!

Thanks as always for your insight, Rick. You're awesome.

Worked almost 10 hours and much of it was crazy--two calls at once, while at the same time I'm trying to check patients in or out. PLUS my co-worker re-arranged the screens and chairs in the building where we are having thermography this Friday, undoing work I'd done the day before. Whew! When do we get a break?

I read your other post, which allowed me to take this day in stride, which started with the phones not working, me having to walk back home to call the phone installer to find out why, the phone installer invading the office so no one could work, patients fainting, a two hour power outage when the phones all died again....and who knows what else!

12. I have to say that I'm absolutely in awe of you, Rick.
Edited on Wed Apr-22-09 08:17 PM by I Have A Dream
I have spent the last 11 months with my work requiring more and more of my time to the point where I had nothing in my life except for eating, working and sleeping. (With sleeping getting a progressively smaller and smaller chunk of time.)

You said the following in one of your recent threads:
Saturn has been traveling in Virgo
It has been opposite all the other planets
This has been making Saturn extra strong
It "makes" us feel like keeping our noses to the grindstone
We also had little choice
We've mostly been behaving and trying get things done and be very realistic
On Monday, April 13, Mars will be one degree from conjuncting transiting Uranus.
The pendulum will swing, the see-saw will tilt DRAMATICALLY AND SUDDENLY in the other direction.

This is exactly what happened for me. I worked around the clock on Monday (no sleep), and the project is finally finished. I finally have a life again (at least for a while), and it happened exactly as you predicted. The completion date had been a moving target up to that point, and my company's management decided upon this completion date -- not me, so my having read what you said had no opportunity to influence this completion date.

:wow:

(Now all I want to do is sleep; both my brain and body feel like sludge.)

13. My day was a mix of small successes and enormous disappointments
My day also brought me a number of little miracles. My determination to feel grateful for them and to feel victory in my small successes is what's allowing me to keep going.

I need the mail to come in. I have to admit that I'm starting to think that would be a miracle.

16. I took a "mental health" day today.
I woke up this morning and thought about what I had waiting for me at the office--the fact that it is very slow right now--and I decided to call in "healthy."

I am pretty laid back about how my department uses time off. As long as the work is done well, and on time you can use your benefit time however you feel a need to--so me calling in was not a big problem. I have somebody taking a "sick" day tomorrow so he can go golfing (he's SICK of winter--so I figured it made sense...) so if I was gonna play hooky, today was a good day to do it. As it stands, I have something like two months worth of sick days that have built up--so burning one day really is not a big loss--ya know?

I went and got my driver's license renewed (talk about a mob scene!) went to the grocery store, treated myself to a frozen coffee confection on the way out, and then came home to be Mom to my daughter after school. Tried a new recipe for salmon tonight that EVERYONE said they liked (that almost NEVER happens!) and then I spent the balance of the evening being a sluggo.

In other words, my day was just FINE!

I dunno, I have been supremely unfocused of late and it has been really nice. We have about six or seven months out of the year at work where we have to work extremely hard to meet deadlines and we interact with the public in pretty stressful situations. When I am conducting hearings I have to stay focused and I simply can't let much slide. The last month or so, however, that has all pretty much fallen away and I have actually been feeling (dare I say this?) a lightening of the stress.

It has been quite nice and I am wondering if I am gonna be ready or even willing to go back to the old lifestyle again. Dunno if any of this is related to the planetary movement or not, but it sure has been nice!

for me I just could NOT concentrate for shit on Monday or Tuesday...got my walking going, got my health stuff started a bit, but the brain was in a total fog! wasting time like you would not believe...! Felt like I was sleepwalking thru the days...'
Today it really cleared up and I made some headway in the creative sector of work, but still ovoiding the nuts & bolts of it.

Monday eve I strated my new session (level 3) of my intiuition and meditaiton class...and Friday started clases at Cal State sac (which is a 13 hour day, 2 hour comute each way!) so things are moing forward for sure... but I am feeling ecstatic on the one hand and really unprepared on the other...but I keep showing up, it's all I can do! ;)

any ideas on what is making me drag my feet and fee tired or out of it?
(other than the fact I'm a single mom and running at 100mph all the time!!! lol)

My in-person interview is Friday (tomorrow), and the hiring manager is someone I know/worked with in the past.

If (should I say when) I start back at the company, I will have enough salary that I can afford to file the incorporation
papers for the nonprofit I've been laying the groundwork for, and paid-time-off on the books to start schmoozing local
important-folks-with-money to get on board & assist/publicize/donate ...

it had an Uranian/Aquarian feel was that Mars was next to Uranus, both opposed and stood up to Saturn in Virgo.
That was the swing I was talking about.
Hope it was a good "break" for you.

44. Last week was sort of insane
I was having to refinance my house into my name (post divorce) and a gazillion unexpected issues arose that I had to straighten out. That continued all the way to Wednesday morning when I closed. I'm still not done though...there's one more piece of paperwork (completely out of my control) that must be handled before it's a done-deal, so I'm still waiting.

45. This month has been an energy change
I decided to get started building a pottery studio--we went to look at premade sheds, and I went with it!

My hun got work out of state from a long time friend, building a ranch and remodeling another house. This friend is also helping him straighten out a bunch of problems too, ranging from dental problems (no dental benefits on VA), to VA disability he is eligible for, to a now disbarred lawyer who screwed him over many years ago....

So he's far away for quite awhile now, and that sucks, but the good in this is he's feeling much more hopeful--a light at the end of the tunnel. We've been looking and hoping for light at the end of the tunnel for a little over a year, so this is exciting for us both.

I came down with an intestinal virus after Easter; haven't had one of those in ages. Glad to say it was mild, so I wasn't in terrible distress, but it did get me off track with everyday stuff that needs to get done.

And the weather was very weird, though again, nothing truly distressing actually happened. Just scary with high winds, and depressing with the cold and grey But that's changing too (March and April out here are always a rough roller coaster).

And I'm putting out the energy for Hawaii or some other similar, beautiful place.. someday somehow...I don't know how, but I sure get lots of funny little Hawaii related synchronicities lately. :)

I've wanted a separate room for an art studio for so long and had given up until you posted of the pre-made shed. I have no space, but at least feel really good imagining a space for a shed that's doable, instead of strictly thinking of room for this or room for that in our next place. Thanks brainy, BlancheSplanchnik
