Glad you were interested in checking us out. Since you've never had a paid membership, I'll just mention that you can use the "Options" icon at the top of the page to set your preferences. You can even turn off ads! From the "Latest" page, you see a link for "Customize my Forums". That's where you'll see all the forums and groups at DU, and can select 15 of them to always show on your Latest page. You can always read (or post to) any of them from the customize page too. Most DU members are more than happy to answer any questions about how to use the site. There's also a dedicated Computer Support group that has a fair amount of traffic. All are welcome there!
