Weird dream - seeking an interpretation
Hi all ...

I've never been into dream study but I love how you guys can share your interpretations into the dreams of others. Sometimes we are just too close for it to make any sense.

Last night, I dreamed that I was at some work event or something and a doctor came over. He stuck a needle under my left big toenail (over my protestations) and numbed it. Then he started scraping the toenail off. It didn't hurt (even though I thought it would) and I kept asking him why he was doing this. (He didn't respond.) I didn't want him to do it to my right foot and panicked so he gave me some sort of "relaxer" and sent me off for it to take effect. I went to a restaurant to order something for lunch and was wearing a necklace spelling out "thin" or "think" (not sure which).

(There was more but I'm mostly wondering what the toenail thing was about.)

The night before I dreamed about picking out a pair of shoes but one shoe was a size 5.7 (the other was my usual 8 1/2). What's the deal with feet and shoes in my dreams??

My husband has a fungal issue with his big toes so it may be that this came into my dream state from his issues but am not sure. If something jumps out at you guys, please let me know.

:-)

1. What I'm picking up
is a need for grounding, so that you are perfectly clear about things.

2. Ah yes ...
... that damn grounding! I am actively working on just that. So, perhaps I am telling myself to continue working on that (and maybe even a bit more so!)

Thanks for your thoughts, ayeshahaqqiqa. Spot on!

3. Yes,
Perhaps it is telling you you are on the right path, and need to continue to "clean up" your act.

4. If the toenail thing is about grounding
and you've been working on that, maybe part of the dream is about just relaxing about it. It won't hurt, even though you expect it to.

I think it's interesting that you went to a restaurant to have lunch after the doctor gave you the relaxer. You were wearing a necklace that said "think" or "thin." Do you have weight issues? Or maybe being grounded and relaxed will allow you to nurture yourself (feed yourself) and think more clearly.

5. The emphasis on shoes and feet
I think it points to questions about your path in life.
Are you thinking about your next step in life? Where you are going, what you are going to do?

6. yes, I am ...
... those are all questions (path in life, weight issues, what do *I* really want) I am currently pondering (and apparently, doing so even more in the dreamtime!) Thanks for the thoughts, you guys. They resonate with my sense as well.

7. I like the idea about the emphasis being on your next step, but it occurred to
me that your necklace saying thin or think might be actually both, as in "think thin", especially since you were in a restaurant.
