RAF LAKENHEATH, England — A 48th Medical Group field-grade officer has been charged with indecent acts for allegedly sexually assaulting a co-worker’s 10-year-old daughter on her birthday.
Maj. Brandon S. Smith, who serves at the RAF Lakenheath hospital, faces a host of additional charges in connection with a night of alleged drunken misbehavior last July, according to Air Force court records.
Smith allegedly physically assaulted three enlisted airmen and made unwanted sexual advances toward two female enlisted airmen over the course of a night of heavy drinking on July 14 before he allegedly committed the indecent act, records show.
The 10-year-old victim — who will not be identified according to Stars and Stripes’ policy — traveled from the States to testify in during Smith’s Article 32 hearing last month.
She testified that Smith entered her room after midnight, removed her underwear and licked her buttocks. A separate airman testified that he saw Smith leaving the girl’s room without his shirt on.
