AAFES gas prices down for second straight week

Gas prices will take a dive Saturday at Army and Air Force Exchange Service locations in the Netherlands and drop moderately in Germany and the United Kingdom.

It’s the second straight week of price declines by AAFES, whose overseas prices are set using U.S. average prices and the local cost of dispensing fuel.

Prices in the Netherlands will still be higher than any other European location, but midgrade unleaded drops 18.9 cents a gallon to $3.634, while premium drops 22.7 cents to $3.899 a gallon. Diesel there falls 11.3 cents to $3.748.

Regular unleaded, sold only in Germany, drops 3.8 cents to $3.18 a gallon.

Both midgrade and premium grades slump 7.6 cents a gallon in Germany and 3.8 cents a gallon in the U.K.
