Roadside bombs kill 4 soldiers, 2 others die

BAGHDAD — Six U.S. soldiers died in Iraq, including three killed in roadside bombings in Baghdad and north of the capital, the military said Wednesday.

That raised to 18 the number of U.S. troop deaths in Iraq since Sunday.

The explosion that killed a Multi-National Division-North soldier occurred in Salahuddin province, according to a statement.

A Multi-National Division-Baghdad soldier also was killed by a roadside bomb in a northeastern section of the capital, the military said.

In central Baghdad, an improvised explosive device struck another soldier’s vehicle, killing him.
