An airman at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo., was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of manufacturing crystal methamphetamine.
Senior Airman Nicholas M. Levesque of the 509th Civil Engineering Squadron was booked into the local jail and released shortly after by the Warrensburg Police Department, said police spokesman Detective Randy Eich.
He has not been charged with a crime, but could be charged if tests of laboratory equipment seized from Levesque’s apartment indicate the presence of drugs or drug-making ingredients, Eich said.
Officers from the Warrensburg Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, assisted by Air Force Office of Special Investigations agents, executed a search warrant that led to the arrest, Eich said.
A Whiteman spokesman declined to comment on the incident, saying the matter is under investigation.
