FORT THOMAS, Ky. — An Army Reserve unit is scheduled to return to Fort Thomas from Iraq on Thursday.

About 250 members of the 478th Combat Engineer Battalion have been stationed in Iraq since August 2007.

There have been no combat fatalities among members of the unit, despite its mission of clearing improved bombs from roads.

The 478th is returning from its second tour in Iraq. The first one lasted six months in 2003.
