2 Hood GIs held after aircraft stolen, crashed

KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen police detained two Fort Hood soldiers after an experimental aircraft was stolen and crashed.

Police on Wednesday announced two 18-year-old men face charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

The experimental aircraft, taken from Killeen’s Skylark Air Field, ended up damaged on the ground Monday. Police think the aircraft hit several mailboxes while crashing.

Witnesses reported seeing two people run from the scene.

they certainly cannot fly
