SMYRNA, Tenn. — Members of a Tennessee National Guard unit have returned to the state from duty in Iraq.
Guard spokesman Nate Crawford said 110 members of the 251st Military Police Company arrived at 8:40 a.m. Central time Thursday.
The soldiers were undergoing outprocessing and were expected to return Friday to their home armories in Bolivar, Lexington and Savannah.
Crawford said the unit mobilized in early December and, including training, had been on active duty for about nine months.
The unit did not have any casualties during its activation.
