About 130 soldiers from the Indiana National Guard's 38th Combat Aviation Brigade will deploy to Iraq later this year.

The soldiers, from the brigade's Headquarters and Headquarters Company, will be activated in mid-2009.

Once they are mobilized, the soldiers will train at Fort Sill, Okla., before going overseas. They will conduct missions such as medical evacuation and battlefield circulation flights in southern Iraq.
