Hello Veterans, Just A Nice Little Story For You . . .

I am not a veteran, but I am a strong supporter of our nation's veterans. I am an elementary school teacher, and me and my students have been involved in various veteran's projects over the years.
I was in Wausau,Wi. on Sunday for an event when the chief justice of our supreme court was speaking. I'll shorten this by quite a bit, but I met the widow of John Bradley, Betty Bradley. Her daughter-in-law (a Democrat) is also a supreme court judge here in Wisconsin. We had a great conversation. I just wish I could have met her husband. I live about 20 miles from where he is buried, and his sons have a funeral home business there too. Anyway, it was a pleasure for me, and I think for Betty.:patriot:

1. For those who might not know

John Bradley served as a Navy corpsman in WWII, and one of the men who raised the flag on Iwo Jima in February 1945. He was awarded the Navy Cross for his heroic actions in treating wounded on heavy fire the day before the flag was raised.
