Make Sure You Keep Copies of your Records. Reports are coming in the are pulling the lost record crap again. As Far as we know kids home from Iraq and older vets are now facing this bullshit.

2. It is!! They just did it to my husband. Every piece of paper

relating to his shoulder injury sustained in Iraq was GONE(initial assessment, treatments, final assessment - everything)..to include the paperwork that he even went to Iraq. Gone from the computers, gone from his medical file...gone from his permanent folder.

He had copies in a notebook we keep at home.

The entire record system is transitioning from paper to electronic. You think it's bad now when they lose the paperwork, wait until they delete it, AND don't give you a hard copy upon creation.

All you vets should send for a copy. Integrity of Veterans' permanent records is yet another thing that used to be sacred but is no longer.

15. I noticed upthread the DAV is helping another vet.

Will continue to contribute to them as I can, as we have discussed in the past. I gave a local vet their contact info but don't yet know if they can help him. He's just a subvet like me so the VA turned him away like they have all Enrollment Priority 8 who applied on or after January 17, 2003.

Just one of many things we can thank The Decider for.

12. What disgusting betrayal

of those who volunteer to serve our country. I can think of few things lower than denying them the care they were promised when they enlisted. There truly has never been a more thoroughly corrupt administration in the history of the U.S. This is absolutely revolting.

A citizen who betrays his country is guilty of treason. What is a government which betrays the citizens who fight for their country? It is betrayal, and should be considered treason, as well. My contempt for the ones who abuse our troops is without measure. I thank God for people like you, who fight so tirelessly for their rights.
