Bidders for the $15 billion contract to build a new combat search-and-rescue helicopter submitted Monday what the Air Force hopes will be the final round of bids for the program.

Representatives for the three bidders — Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Sikorsky Aircraft — confirmed the bids were delivered to the Air Force by the Monday deadline.

Sikorsky’s filled 26 boxes and runs about 65,000 pages, according to a company spokesman.

The companies would not divulge details of how they changed their bids in response to the Air Force’s fifth — and, officials hope, final — amendment to the request for proposals released Nov. 15.

The Air Force is expected to announce a winner for the CSAR-X program by the summer.
