It seems Draft Gore is active again.
According to this:
http://groups.google.com/group/netrootsforgore/browse_thread/thread/4a25bf3dd574dab2

"As alluded to in a previous comment, DraftGore.com reactivated their
campaign to draft the former VP today. They have taken down the link
that previously stated they had ended their efforts and have put up
the Newsweek story by Eleanor Clift. What exactly their plans will be
from this point on is yet to be seen (I may have more on that later),
but just know that they ARE active again. For those of us still
holding out a slimmer of hope that Gore may yet be the nominee, this
is VERY good news as DraftGore.com is the largest draft site and, for
the most part, the public face of the movement. As a FYI, AlGore.org
is also considering reactivating (though no official word yet).

Stay tuned...things may get very interesting."

So I went over there, and it does look updated and different; and I do not see the cease letter anywhere.
Hmmmmmmmm.

1. I have been in e-mail contact
within the past few days with both Karen Wunderman and Monica Friedlander (AGO and draftgore, respectively) letting them know what I'm trying to do here in NY and urging them to work together to put up a single web site with a state by state listing of super delegates and contact information for those delegates. Then, get the information those 2 sites (and others if there are others) have for contacting sympathetic folks in each state (after, perhaps identifying one of more coordinators in each state) so that contact can be made directly to those folks urging them to contact the super delegates.

I am now in the process of putting together a spreadsheet for NY super delegates with contact information that I will be sending around to the people who have responded positively to me over the past week when I sent them the initial suggestion to write to Dean, Pelosi, et al. I hope to have that spreadsheet completed in the next day or so and then start the next phase in the process. As I may have mentioned in an earlier post, I think Farrell is starting on something like this for all the states, but it is a huge job. If any of you in states other than NY could start doing this research and compiling the appropriate info for your state, that would get us all on a good start for this process.

I was very encouraged to see the draftgore.com site with all those listings of recent Gore as the compromise candidate articles on it. Maybe the deadlocked convention we've all been hoping for is going to really happen and we might get a winner as the nominee after all.
