My favorite kind of religious discussion:
:sarcasm:

Christian: God is wonderful and never changes.

Me: But he changed here, here, and here. And here.

Christian: He didn't really change.

Me: Sure he did. Before it was this, later it was this. He changed.

Christian: Nope, he didn't change. La la la la la.

1. My favorite.
Theist: God is great because of X, Y and Z.

Me: We know for a fact god didn't do X, Y or Z and based on his track record, god stinks on ice.

Theist: You fundamentalist atheists are bigots!

3. One of my faves is still:
Xian: "It's a miracle!"
(after a natural disater wipes out a small village but allows a family dog to survive. Or after a team of surgeons and nurses spend hours saving someone's life.)

4. If it never existed, of course it does'nt change...
because it only ever existed in their mind.

Luckily there are people who know the difference between fact and fiction, and that the world as well as all things upon it has in fact changed. It will also continue to do so even after we are long gone.

5. Xian: I give thanks to God for answering my prayers and
helping me survive <insert terrible illness here>.

Me (inner monologue): If this god of yours is as wonderful as you say he is, why did he let you get <terrible illness> in the first place? And you should be giving heartfelt thanks to your doctors, too, by the way. It's not as if they all just stood around and waited for divine intervention to hurry up and take care of things.
