Edited on Wed Oct-28-09 02:06 PM by Stuart G
Coming out in December..any buzz on the script.?
Supposed to be Science Fiction/Acton. Well ..and he wrote it too.

Hello anyway..first time here....Stuart G.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499549/

Cameron directed Aliens 2
Terminator and Terminator 2
Abyss

Sci Fiction/Action credentials very very good.

1. I agree, I think it's going to be a top notch SF film..
The trailer I've seen was impressive..

FWIW, Poul Anderson had a book called "Avatar" which I enjoyed a great deal, nothing to do with the movie though.

2. My pal worked SFX on it
and claims that it's going to raise the bar for special effects. Having seen the trailer, I'm not sure if I agree, but then again, trailer shots are often assembled before the film's final polish, and I was watching it on a tiny 'puter screen. As for the script, all my pal said was that it was a good story.

And welcome to sci fi group, Stuart!

5. I think that seeing it in 3D will make a big difference for the effects
I've heard some complaints that it looks too much like a video game, but aren't video games trying to look a lot like movies these days?

Yeah, but that doesn't mean that movies should help by lowering the bar.

3. I saw a trailer that looked interesting...
I've learned to never get my hopes up about science fiction films and TV. There are so very many ways to fuck up even the best possible idea.

7. I saw it in 3D IMAX............What a ride..
More than the special effects. Wonderful story, good character development, and outstanding direction. This film never stopped. Had to come back sometime to thank those for giving me a heads up.. Hope all is well here.......

8. Oh' wow. I thought this was a joke thread, but it's from October!
The BluRays & DVDs are out. The movie is now the top grossing film of all time, and we have tired blue kitty jokes on the internet. I guess enough people heard about it.
