Need a laugh??
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 12:28 PM by whometense
There's the welcome return of Radar for your Friday amusement. I recommend this article on Capitol Hill hairstyles: http://www.radaronline.com/features/2006/09/capitol_domes.php

...Trend Three
CRAZY-OLD-WHITE-GUY HAIR

Also known as "hospital bed-head," this rumpled, erratic style is trendy among our elder statesmen. Why comb and primp, it says, when one's status as a respected, nearly-dead person allows one to simply unravel? On Rep. Hastert, a former high school wrestling coach who famously suggested that post-Katrina New Orleans be "bulldozed over" as an elegant alternative to pricey rebuilding, the look is choppy and insouciant, as if several hairy Post-It notes have been slapped onto his skull.

Rep. Sensenbrenner, a privileged scion of the Kotex dynasty, who's received the most privately-funded trips of any congressman, clearly expects a friendly K Streeter to someday fix his errant hair. Democrat Levin, once referred to as a "kindly old shoemaker" by Jon Stewart, appears to be more image-conscious, pointedly channeling Ben Franklin with a strange, giant-hairy-lump-at-back style.

If these men were younger, says Susan Abrams of Political Icon, a California-based image consultancy, who's counseled gubernatorial candidates, they'd lose credibility points for such hair heresy: "If the hair is not predictable, the public doesn't know what to expect." Maysonave agrees: "It's only our respect for these men's age and experience that makes the look acceptable. But there's a double standard. A woman would be cut to pieces for looking like that."...

P.S. Needless to say, Kerry does not make the list. :-)

1. Hillary made the list
How come her hair cost $1500 and Kerry's only $75. (I know it's been a few years, but inflation is not that bad!)

4. That haircut isn't worh $1500
It is much too severe for her face. Yuck! If I were her, I'd get my money back.

It's also the one on the poll that we keep Kerry high on. She actually is pretty when her hair is less severe. My first thought when I saw the photo was that she had had plastic surjury.

10. they charge women more than men
but 1500 is just way too much .

Kerry's 75 dollar cut is not actually much considering most regular cuts at mid to high level salons cost around 40 dollars and that's without anything like perm, color ,blowout etc. with those things it can easily come out to 75 and maybe more, especially if you are a woman.

Kerry has nice hair naturally and any other guy who had it would do the same as he does.

12. Dorgan - I have a confession
When he is on the Senate floor I find myself staring at his hair.
Someone should really tell him. He is such a good guy.

Funny stuff!
