"Stunning"
I recall Kerry used this term quite a bit during the campaign season leading up to the election of '04. Personally, I really enjoyed the term.
He'd use it while describing this administration's incompetence.

Now I hear people using it all of the time when describing something that can't believe. On the news, out in public.

It really is a stunning way to describe something.

1. I noticed the same thing
Kerry does use that word a lot. At first, I thought it sounded "British", because it is used as Kerry uses it there. It is a perfect use of the word where it is hard to think of another word that could convey the emotion that it does. I'm not surprised that it has been picked up.

I think people have pcked up a lot of Kerry's wording.

2. Yeah, I agree. I even find myself using it when I can find no other word
that fits a shocking situation. For example, The lies of the Republicans during this election is just stunning.

PS. How are you and your family doing?

3. LOL! True!
It stood out because he used the word in a way I'd never heard before, but now everyone is using it the same way.

Funny when you think about it.

6. A phrase, he uses of something being "beyond (adjective of choice)
I never heard that before Kerry - who used it relatively often. I have heard others use it since.
