Rasmussen: Webb is AHEAD in Virginia!
Edited on Mon Oct-30-06 05:07 PM by beachmom

Webb - 51%
Allen - 46%

That was an unbelieveably STUPID move to criticize Webb's books. Just like the Hitler ads against Kaine last year. The GOP's smears are backfiring. Yes!!!

But, still we have to GOTV. It ain't over, but the polls are looking promising.

1. That is very good news - This corroborates an internal DSCC poll that
was published this morning, and by an independent source.

I hope that this trend will continue for the next week.

2. I just saw that
you don't know how much I don't want to vote on Diebold, that's the main thing I'm concerned about now.

4. A local Democrat in the area went to the "warehouse"
to inspect the machines, and saw 8 tests done. She said that they (the Democrats) "wrote the program" (not sure exactly what she meant there). She felt better about it after inspections. However, the BIG issue is that the machines go out the night before the election to all the precincts. She is looking for volunteers to be at EVERY precinct at 5 AM to inspect that the seals have not been broken. She is very worried that some "crazy person" (she was careful to not implicate the GOP) might mess with the machines during this time period. She said she was the ONLY one there to inspect machines -- I guess that means the Republicans didn't bother to check them out.

The Repubs are already poised to cry stolen election due to the machines because one company is owned by Chavez/Venezuela. Those machines are used in Suffolk among other places across the country. Truly remarkable their nerve.

5. PM me
I took off the day at work and was going to get in touch with the Kellam campaign and tell them I was free to work the polls, this would be something I would be very willing to do.

7. They keep drawing attention to him
That's what it seems like to me. Every time Webb starts to sort of fade away, they launch some attack that brings him back into the spotlight and voters learn something new about him and become more comfortable with him. And get a little more disgusted with Allen.

Who was it that said we should donate money to the Allen campaign to run smear ads... yeah, that's a great idea!!
