3. that autograph pic made me laugh!
He can't escape--even the former president of Iran is a fan!

The rubbing the eye pic reminds me of something I read in one of those Kerry bios: it is a habit his first wife remarked that he did sometimes--I forget the reason exactly why. Maybe someone else remembers.

4. GREAT PIC -- Damn one of these
days Americans are going to look back and wonder how we let ourselves be conned and intimidated into following Bushes and Clintons

7. That is the nicest photo. That's the thing about Senator Kerry.
He's so respectful of everyone and of other cultures, he can relate to anyone, anytime and any place.

8. Today is a day of transition for me. My Adopt a Pundit project
has ended. I have removed Andrew Sullivan from my bookmarked sites. I will not be reading him anymore. Thing is, I've found him pretty boring this year. When he attacked Barbara Boxer for her innocent remarks to Condi Rice, that was actually when I got wise about him -- he attacks Bush and the Republicans one week and then attacks someone on the Left the next week -- it is not out of conviction that he does it. It is to increase traffic -- people from both the left and the right will think they might find something interesting so he gets double the traffic. Because I am more objective about Boxer, and am less emotionally attached to her, it was then I figured all of this out. Anyway, tonight he called Kerry a disgrace for being with Khatami. It wasn't like it was Ahmadinejad -- Khatami was the reformer president -- and as a United States Senator, he can meet with foreign leaders, so the whole attack was set up for maximum emotion, with little reason behind it. I have little use for small mindedness, and that is why I am bidding farewell to Andrew. Thanks for your endorsement of Kerry in '04 and your calls to vote Democratic in '06, Andrew. But it is today that we shall part ways. And he's not going to know. No e-mail this time, Sully. My only response to his dishonest ways can be permanent silence and one less hit he gets a day.

9. He was the PRO-DEMOCRACY leader
and as you said a reformer. You have to be pretty brave to be that in the current Iran. It's amazing how narrow minded and stupid the right is on this. Would Sullivan have wanted no western voice on that panel - those people need to know that there are Americans who will speak to them. I bet Sullivan didn't mention that Kerry said that Iran could end the crisis by ending the nuclear program.

10. I know. I admit tonight I'm feeling down. I mean -- he drops out
of the race, and you'd think there would be a little -- just a little -- bit of rest from the constant attacks. But no, they're going to go after him, even when he retires (even after he dies, they'll attack just like they did his Dad the other day). Look at how they still go after Jimmy Carter. And they make it seem like if you meet with anyone you're some kind of a traitor. What's happened to this country? Today, I am too numb to weep.

it the same way as we did. Glad to see Kossaks have Kerry's back:

14. I added some comments
In an odd way, the RW hitting very reasonable Kerry comments offers that Democrats a chance. If they really want to avoid war, they need to as a group BACK Kerry on some of this.

16. You should hit him one last time with your comments. Let him know you are on to him.
Might make you feel better to let him know exactly why you are done with him.

17. I'll think about it. Yesterday I was feeling low so it wasn't a good
time. But maybe I'll send him one more e-mail. I guess it would be nice if we had a full video and transcript -- I like to come armed with facts.

12. Well, Tay
You've certainly proven the saying that a picture speaks a thousand words. It seems so unbelievable to me that this country does not see how lucky we are to have that man giving his life to service.

13. Thanks Lou! I agree.
Ah, actually I am not upset with the RWers who are going ballistic over what Kerry said at Davos. You want to piss off all the right people. Shows you are on the right path. So, the first half week of John Kerry, Senator at Large is a success.

What Kerry said in Davos is true and everyone knows it. The prestige of the US around the world is at a dangerous low. Sen. Kerry has been saying this for years now. (OMG, years! How sad is that.) He said this at speeches I saw last year at Faneuil Hall. It's pretty odd that the RWers are just picking up on this now.

RWers have to confront the truth about what their actions have done to the world. So, let the debate begin. I know this\\ese bastids are going to go after Dems, and Kerry, for actually talking to Iranians, but we have to talk to the Iranians in order to get any shot at some peace in the Middle East. (Ah, you have to make peace with your enemies. What good does it do to make peace with your friends. Peace begins with talk.)

BTW, we all miss The Premise. A Lot. Convey best wishes for us, okay.
