Set a Deadline stickers, buttons, shirts...
As per request of a couple of Kerrycrats, I've created some items to advertise our favorite cause.

http://www.cafepress.com/setadeadline

Everything is at base price (my cost). I'm able to get items at a discount in quantities of 15 (of the same item) but there is a longer lead time for this (1-3 weeks) and time is of the essence in getting this out there.

If anyone wants a different design, color or a different item, I'll be happy to set it up. Just let me know.

1. my only comment
My only comment is - are people going to know what it's about without something like bring our troops home on it if they are driving behind you?

Maybe I'm underestimating people.

2. I'm not sure.
It depends on how it's used I suppose. If you wear a hat, for example, at an anti-war rally, people will understand.

The plain URL in white on black was requested by Kerrycrats who wanted these specific bumper stickers, probably to attract the curious to the site and get people who would not otherwise visit what they thought of as an anti-war site. Not everyone is political and many people don't like the war but they also don't go out of their way to get involved. Different bait catches different fish.

If you have any ideas of what you'd like to see, please share. I'll be happy to put whatever on whatever for any Kerrycrats. I'm doing up a couple of shirts with Kerry's Vietnam quote on them for myself.

6. someone at the kerry blog
was looking for the Kerry Vietnam quote on a bumper sticker. Just a couple days ago. You may want to look at the last couple days comments on the blog and see if you can contact her.

8. Not meant as a criticism
I was just wondering if this was to attract people not familiar with the site.

I was the one looking for the John Kerry quote bumper sticker to replace my Kerry one. I'd love to buy one if it was available, but I could also have one made up on a plain bumper sticker site if it was much trouble.

Thanks for doing this in any case.

9. Sticker
Sorry - I had to post and run off - I was late to go to dinner.

I see from that Cafepress site you can maybe make your own sticker. I see someone does already have a T-shirt on there with the John Kerry quote, but no stickers.

The only thing I can't figure out, is it looks like you need to upload an image to be able to do it? Do you have to make an image first with the words you want? I could do one in photoshop.

What I was looking for was the "how do you ask a man" quote with John Kerry's name at the bottom. Do you suppose setadeadline.com would fit on there too? I suppose I could just have a sticker with the first part, and then a separate small sticker with the website across it. Have to look at your site if there is a little one once I'm done writing this. I am afraid my bumper is getting so full that It's hard to fit too much more on.

I already have "Worse President Ever" "Had enough, vote democratic" Kerry Edwards, and DemocraticUnderground.com on the car. People probably already think I'm a little crazy : ).

10. Here you go.

I didn't get back to you earlier because I was busy setting this up.

http://www.cafepress.com/john_kerry

edit: I've got a "God Help America" (with a circle slash W) sticker, a "Don't Blame Me, I Voted for Kerry" sticker and a John Kerry sticker. I have to get a new car to fit all my stickers.

11. Thanks alot. Perfect!

Now here is a question - you made both of these, right? Is there a way to buy one of those new ones you made, plus a little one of your set-adeadline ones, and combine shipping rather than two separate orders? I saw you do have a little round one.

Editing: Never mind - I think I figured it out - I just add them all to my cart separately, but I think it's one order. I've been out measuring my bumper. I wish I'd been more careful to put all my stickers right next to each other. I might need to re-affix them - Though I do have a station wagon so I figure I could put the setadeadline.com one on my station wagon door instead of the bumper.

Thanks again.

13. Oh you can absolutely combine purchases from multiple shops.
Just add what you want from one shop to your shopping cart and then go to the next shop.

I've got multiple shops because I'm in transition. In basic shops, you can only have one of each item for sale. Most of my stuff has been in a shop called "president_kerry" but I'm going to be moving all my stuff to a new shop, either dynamicdems, john_kerry or kerrycrats.

15. We probably were.
Glad to help. If you want any other stuff set-up, let me know. Because I do this all the time (I've got a HUGE equestrian shop), it is easy for me to get the images ready and uploaded. Or you can design your own item. Photoshop is perfect. For just lettering, a .jpg for a white background. You need to use a transparent background to print on black apparel though. And .png is best for photographs and artwork.

It's always fun to create.

16. Thanks I ordered
It would be fun to create some, but I am afraid until this war is over and a democratic president is in office, my bumper is pretty full.

That's a neat site, though. That seems like a great way to make a little extra money too. I would have a figure skating and landscape architecture shirt and sticker shop if I had the time (not on the same shirt though.)

19. How about...
"Presidents and politicians may worry about losing face, or losing votes, or losing legacy; it is time to think about young Americans and innocent civilians who are losing their lives."

I'd proudly wear that as a t-shirt or put that sticker on my car.

22. Just did up a few versions.
I'll have them up in a little while, along with some other stuff that's been requested and I'll post the URL.

That is a great quote.

24. Bumper stickers are up. Will have shirts later.
I've put them up in a hidden section of the DD shop for now. I'll be making a new store where all these will have a home for all the Kerrycrat-related merchandise, but for now:

Ordered 10 buttons last night and can't wait to get them and start giving them to people!! It's really a great, intriguing name for a website and I think people will ask about it or decide to look it up for themselves.

21. Question
probably a silly one, but here it goes: is it possible to put both the quote and the URL for setadeadline on the same sticker? Enough room?

I confess that I never used a bumpersticker before. Never ever. Now... what color would go best on the back of a small red car... decisions, decisions.... thanks again!
