Sen. Salazar: "We've had precipitious withdrawal resolutions before."

Sen. Salazar just spoke on the floor of the Senate about the Levin-Warner Resolution on Iraq. He is for it, but couldn't do so without first taking a swipe at prior proposals as 'precipitious withdrawal.' There has never been a resolution on the Senate floor that endorsed precipitious withdrawal.

This is awful. It's one thing to have a SEnator come to the floor and disagree. It's another thing to have him come to the floor and lie about prior proposals. This is a disgrace.

1. He's got to play to his base

Which is not "the base". He's kind of a wildcard, and I know people here rip on him a lot, but honestly I think he's really got his finger on the pulse of Colorado. Hopefully we'll get Mark Udall in the Senate in 2008 to represent the more liberal side of the state, but I can almost guarantee you that won't happen if Hillary is the nominee.

2. It is a shame that some of our very own Democratic Senators still

use precipitous when speaking of other's amendments.This just reinforces the RW "cut and run" premise.
