That ties into Kerry's BCCI and Iran-Contra Investigation from 1992 when Bill Clinton first took office and stopped John Kerry's BCCI's investigations. This has now come back to haunt us bigtime and it's related to Sibel Edmonds. I sure wish BLM were here to explain this better. So I'm going to just post the link.

So when his follow-up happened, today -- an even more explosive revelation, again from the Times in the UK -- that the FBI is deliberately covering up the existence of its case file which implicates US government officials in corruption and the trading of black market nuclear weapons, I expected it to get some notice here.

(Sibel Edmonds) says the FBI was investigating a Turkish and Israeli-run network that paid high-ranking American officials to steal nuclear weapons secrets. These were then sold on the international black market to countries such as Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

One of the documents relating to the case was marked 203A-WF-210023. Last week, however, the FBI responded to a freedom of information request for a file of exactly the same number by claiming that it did not exist. But The Sunday Times has obtained a document signed by an FBI official showing the existence of the file.

Edmonds believes the crucial file is being deliberately covered up by the FBI because its contents are explosive. She accuses the agency of an “outright lie”.

As Lukery put it in his diary on this:

The FBI's comments demonstrate conclusively that either:
a) They are lying, or
b) They have destroyed the evidence of this multi-year investigation concerning the corruption of high-level US officials, the nuclear black market, money laundering and narcotics trafficking.

Furthermore, this new revelation ties in the Valerie Plame scandal with this one. Check it out -- Brewster Jennings, the company that was Plame's CIA front, was investigating this very scandal when she was outed and her career -- and presumably the work on this case -- destroyed by the Bush administration:

The official document obtained by The Times has some very damning evidence regarding Marc Grossman, former #3 at the State Department and former Ambassador to Turkey. Two weeks ago, The Times ran an explosive article detailing how Marc Grossman was a mole for foreign criminal groups which stole American nuclear secrets and sold them to the highest bidder.

According to the latest Times article, they have an anonymous letter which:

claims the government official (Grossman) warned a Turkish member of the network that they should not deal with a company called Brewster Jennings because it was a CIA front company investigating the nuclear black market. The official’s warning came two years before Brewster Jennings was publicly outed when one of its staff, Valerie Plame, was revealed to be a CIA agent in a case that became a cause célèbre in the US.

Former CIA agent Phil Giraldi, who was stationed in Turkey, is another who is familiar with these matters. Giraldi wrote a terrific article for the American Conservative in 2006 describing Sibel's case. In Kill The Messenger, a documentary about the nuclear black market element of Sibel case, Giraldi says:

"And that Brewster Jennings was, apparently, working against the target of Turkey, meaning that Turkey was being investigated by the CIA as a proliferator of weapons."

One of Brewster Jennings targets was the American Turkish Council, a lobbying group known to be a hub of the activity facilitating the theft and sale of nuclear secrets, among other things.

Journalist Chris Deliso wrote a terrific article in Nov 2005 linking Marc Grossman, Brewster Jennings, the American Turkish Council and the Turkish connection to the nuclear black market. Although the new Times article doesn't mention Grossman by name, it is clear that Grossman is again the unnamed former official in this article.

So hey, come on, people, this is the story we've all been waiting for. And it's being overlooked while everybody argues about "is Bill Clinton a racist" or whatEVER the F**K you people are arguing about here 24/7!

I'll repeat that: This is the story we've all been waiting for.

Let's get it out there.

1. Interesting, but I think this story may hurt the Democrats more than the Republicans

This is a UK newspaper. I don't think it will be covered in MSM here before the election. Remember that the vast majority of American people have no idea what the DSM said and they got some coverage in papers like the NYT. I think the only way it can ever by uncovered is if we have a President completely not involved. One person once told me he thought that the reason that Iran/Contra did not lead to a full blown impeachment and Lewinsky et al did, is that Iran/Contra showed the US as an outlaw nation and Lewinsky showed the President to be a man of bad character. One challenges directly what we want to believe about out country.

If this article has impeccable backup, which we don't know at this point, and if it was well covered here - the danger is that that will happen in the general election. None of the top Republican candidates can be linked to this unless there is some unknown connection no one has remotely implied with McCain. Huckabee and Romney (:vomit:) were not in any place they could have been involved. The same could be said for Obama and Edwards.

Look at these comments:
"Edmonds said: “I heard at least three transactions like this over a period of 2½ years. There are almost certainly more.”
The end point of Edmonds' tapes is 2002. Even if they end in December, that goes back to 2000.

" A backlog of tapes had built up, dating back to 1997, which were needed for an FBI investigation into links between the Turks and Pakistani, Israeli and US targets. Before she left the FBI in 2002 she heard evidence that pointed to money laundering, drug imports and attempts to acquire nuclear and conventional weapons technology."

These action did not begin in 2001, when W took office. It is also possible the story is either not the whole truth or it is not true. I would be cautious in believing it. One reason to not believe it completely is that Wilson is backing HRC.

2. I think it's more because sex sells.

And the BCCI and Iran Contra are confusing as heck. People don't get it.

3. Even if not true, would seem true.

Through W is vengeful, Cheney would think business and power first. I always felt the Plame outing had more to do with what she knew about Iran, Brewster Jennings a liability. Certainly Bushco allegations about nuclear movement could be based on knowing their friends activity moving it around.

Our shadow government guys may have started with Reagan, but these power plays of money, weaponry, takeover, and always being on the wrong side, a lot longer.
