What are the chances Sen Kerry will post updates at kos while he's in Pakistan
and Afghanistan?

Seems to me that would be an excellent time to interact with all of us in some REAL time way.

Hell - Biden could say a few words, too. They will have most of the blogosphere agog over that level of reach out.

1. I sure worry with these bombings
I hope they all stay safe.

And yeah, it would be really cool if they blogged from Pakistan, let us know what the mood really is there, that sort of thing.

2. I think the blogs would go wild for it since I don't think it's been done before.
Especially on such a serious trip.

3. Probably not possible
These are whirlwind trips and internet access is not easily accessible. It is a wonderful idea, but they don't have the time or equipment access to do it.

I think a blog when they get back about what happened is a good idear though.

4. probably not a good idea
too many safety issues and i don't trust the people there or anyone on our side who might be connected to the Bush administration.

5. Biden was on NPR this morning
was a short story, no details about the Tall Guy . Biden only got as far as mentioning "we", which is at least is a step forward for him (brilliant and interesting guy, but the ego thing does get to me. .). . maybe they'll have more of those phone interviews with -- ahem -- some of his fellow travelers at some point

6. On what I think was local WBUR news in Boston at about 8 this am
They played a tiny clip of JK talking about the importance of the Pakistani elections. Impossible to tell whether it was recorded before or during the trip, but nice to hear his calm, truthful voice.
