I truly don't know what the results will be at the end of Tuesday. However, both campaigns are pulling out all the stops. I voted early on Friday, and there was a 1/2 hour line to vote early at the BOE, so I think turnout will be good.
Obama drew 6,000 at a rally here in Akron last Saturday, which was followed by 7,000 in Cleveland. Hillary has visited Akron multiple times, sent Chelsea twice that I know of, sent in Madeleine Albright yesterday, and will be back herself again today ... and that's just Akron. Hillary has the support of the local Democratic party at both the state and county levels. Some Democrats have split away from Hillary, but she has the local party machine working for her.
My son drove in from Wisconsin this weekend with four friends to canvass for Obama all day yesterday. One boy was originally from California and another from Minnesota. I never asked the girls where they came from. They were all terrific kids, and it did me good to see them that passionate and that committed to drive 500 miles to walk their feet off all day in Akron suburbs.
My biggest worry is that after Tuesday is done, we as Democrats will still be standing in a circular firing squad. I am very unhappy with Hillary's campaign at this point. Her attacks on Obama go directly from her campaign to the local right-wing radio voices (and here those include a major morning music voice). This is just not healthy as we look toward the general election in the fall. :(
