Teresa Heinz Kerry gets slightly cryptic in her appearance with Michelle in Pittsburgh:

"You know, people - some people - legitimately think he hasn't been around enough. He doesn't know enough. He hasn't legislated enough. And you know, I think in our society we tend to be so numerical. Everything is in inches or in dollars or whatever," she said.

Also:

"No one counts the 8 years he was in the State Senate in Illinois, the years he was in south side of Chicago working as a community organizer. And I know from running philanthropies and from doing a lot of on the ground work here in Pennsylvania and elsewhere that the most important things are not so much what you know, as what you do with what you know."

One of the reasons I find Michelle Obama so appealing is that she reminds me of Teresa - in her directness and refusal to speak politico-speak. That said, I haven't dared look at the comments.
