She is doing great. The doctor still doesn't want many people around her. They just don't want to take any chances because this lung thing is so nasty. She can go outside for walks and things, just not supposed to have a bunch of people bringing germs into her house. Thanks for the well wishes, means so much.

9. Hi grandma!

I am not at all the type that goes AWWW and all misty eyed around babies, I really am not, but she incredibly lovely. She has... I don't know... an air of wisdom? as if she understands much more than you'd think, and those eyes!! Not to mention the arms that just REQUIRE a very gentle pinch :-).

i love that one of Kerry also. it just shows the natural connection he has with kids. i do notice in some pics that Obama seems to have the same thing. hopefully the grownups will listen to the kids this time.

This meeting was to honor the top 24 physics students in the country, 5 of which were from Massachusetts.

DO YOU DIG THE DOGS as much as John Kerry did back in 2004? At the Varsity, he ordered chili dogs, a Varsity orange and onion rings.

I’ve been trading emails with Scott Sapp, a reader and local connoisseur of all things Southern ( the guy makes his own maps of the best BBQ in the state — but more on that in a week or so).

He’s also a chili dog fan and claims, as I do, that the good ole Varsity has the “filet mignon of frankfurters in Georgia.”
