"The world is safer when you engage with people... /Senator Kerry taking on Bush
and defending Senator Obama. And personally, I think Senator Kerry's comments sound more articulate and representative of a senior member of the Senate Foreign Relation Committee.

This is a nice article from yesterday's Bush virus Obama news.

Kerry to Bush: Dissolve your cabinet!

Senator John Kerry advises President Bush to dissolve his cabinet if he can draw parallels between negotiating with Iran and appeasing Nazis.

While acknowledging that the commander-in-chief has the final say in deciding US foreign policies, Senator Kerry said Washington should never 'negotiate out of fear' but should 'never fear to negotiate'.

1. Can you put that in GD P. Kerry makes great talking points that all Dems should
latch unto and be on the same page when defending Obama.

Great find, wisteria.

2. I will post, but I bet it will sink. He doesn't use slang or gotcha words to make his point.
Seems no one really cares what inspiring words Kerry has to say lately, (although, the first remark is actually Kennedy I believe).

A little rant- seems all the press has been doing is dragging out the old "Kerry didn't fight back in 2004" talking points and go about making comparisons between Obama's actions and Kerry's. Why according to some in the press, Party Democrats were outraged over what happened in 2004. (Sure they were, so outraged, Senator Kerry and a couple of loyal friends had to do all the defending)

You know what else bothers me? Kerry isn't even mentioned as a strong candidate for SOS or even the VP spot. Not that he would want those spots, but he should be given honorable mention. Then we have Clinton, who hasn't even managed to get out of the primaries being suggested for VP or even Reid's position. Then there is Edwards & Webb being suggested for cabinet positions etc. It appears to me this is a dig at Senator Kerry. I am at a point where I can not even get excited about Obama because of the ignorance being displayed towards Senator Kerry. Kerry, who was one of the first big names to come out and take a chance on endorsing Obama and who has devoted time and travel to speak out on his behalf. Biden utters BS and the media and blogs go crazy.

3. It's ok to rant

I agree with it.

Some observations I have seen elsewhere: Luckily, at the non-political blogs I hang at, I haven't read much Kerry negativity (at least not yet). When the Edwards endorsement story broke, there was a lot of hype about Edwards being VP (most reject that idea), or having a cabinet position, (no mention of Kerry though. :))It's true that Biden's BS statement got more press from those blogs, but the feedback was, well lukewarm. AA Obama supporters haven't forgotten his "articulate" comment a while back. I thought the BS comment was hilarious.

Since Obama gave his smackdown, I have noticed an increase in the not fighting back or didn't respond arguments from some (not all) of Obama's supporters, here and at Kos. People in this good group have pointed out over and over (since 2005) that Kerry did the opposite, yet they continue ignore that the media, lack of party support, different political vibe back in 2002 and that Kerry himself has taken full responsibilty for the mistakes and his campaign (integrity there). Obama is stronger and in good shape because of what Kerry (and Dean) went through, and it's unfortunate that some of them do not see that.

If you haven't seen TayTay's thoughts here and here about being in the interregnum mode, it's worth reading over and over again. This (and your rant) is the tip of the iceberg. We are going to have to brace ourselves for a ugly summer and fall. :(

I agree it's all discouraging, but we have to hang in there. I do take heart in reading from Tay's thoughts that the Barack, his campaign (and real world supporters) know who had their back and who didn't, as well as the surrogate, etc. work that Kerry has done for him and them.
