Ok - confession time.
Actually I am just checking to make sure I am not completely nuts:silly: :silly:

I get excited when I get email from John Kerry.

When I'm in my car, listening to Big Eddie and I hear that Senator John Kerry is going to be on,
I scream "Kerry Kerry Kerry" and sit in my car listening to the radio in my garage until the commercial so I won't miss him. Then dash into the house and turn the radio on immediately.

When I am watching CSpan 2, and he gets up to speak, I do my Kerry cheer, and hit RECORD on my dvr so I can watch it again and again.

I receive Kerry alerts from Yahoo.

My Photobucket album has more pics of him than my kids - ew - that's a hard confession to make.

When there is nothing on tv, I watch his speech at the DNC, or Georgetown, or a favorite rally - whatever I'm in the mood for...

Does any of this sound familiar to any of you? Or should I be starring in the remake of
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"??

A picture of him and Edwards before the election - yes.
But didn't kiss Edwards.

9. Kissing the t.v.? How about talking to it, as if Kerry actually listens?
Which I used to do all the time.

18. LOL aw
Hehe. I haven't done any of that. I do get excited whenever I see him or hear him and I do watch older c-span stuff on boring days.

3. Top Ten signs you know you're obsessed with John Kerry
10. You have a folder in "My Pictures" devoted entirely to John Kerry. (Bonus points if you have over 100 pictures in said folder.)

9. You have audio or video copies of JK speeches - and have them on your iPod (if applicable).

8. You own at least three of the following: Tour of Duty, Going Upriver, Brothers in Arms, The New War, A Call to Service, One Car Caravan, The Candidate, or John Kerry: A Portrait (MEGA bonus points if you own all of them  ).

7. He is or has been the wallpaper of your computer.

6. You still have a bumper sticker affixed to your car out of PRIDE and plan to leave it on until the elements wear it away, whereupon it will be replaced by a fresh, new Kerry sticker.

5. You have a stash of Kerrybilia - posters, fliers, buttons, stickers, pictures, etc.

4. You get a rush of adrenaline when you find out he's going to be on a TV or radio show and make sure you set your recorder so as not to miss a second.

3. Nothing makes your blood boil more than a dirty, sleazy attack on him - from the left or right.

2. You have already publicly committed to support him in 2008 and own one or more items proclaiming Kerry 2008 - bumper sticker, button, wristband, etc.

1. You would go through hell and back for John Kerry and do anything in your power to see him assume his rightful place as President of the United States.

:patriot: If you're crazy, pirhana, I don't want to be sane!

Does anyone need a copy of One Car Caravan or The Candidate? I have an extra copy of each, and I'm headed to the post office tomorrow.

10. *Reads WEL's list* -- check, check....
Wait -- I have the rest, but what IS One Car Caravan!?!?

I agree with everyone here -- happily smitten and never going back!

11. Check to all of those
except #2 because I don't have an i-pod. I do however have lots of JK and THK audio interviews (and lots of "printed" articles) saved in my "Kerry Stuff" folder. The "Kerry Stuff" folder is of course totally separate from "My Pictures".

All but 7 on WEL's list, because I share computers with my husband and both hate wallpaper because it's harder to find the icons for programs.

And almost all Pirhana's list too. And I hadn't thought of it, but yeah, JK has replaced Paul as my favorite Beatle. Though Paul is a better bass player and singer (though I've never heard JK)

on WEL's list--but that could change as the date gets closer. I did have wallpaper in fall of '04, but it annoys my husband when I put any political figures up, so it's reserved for when he's on business trips. ;)
But I do have my own separate "My Pictures", which has a very extensive JK folder in it. Heck I even have that subdivided into years so I can find stuff. "2004", "2005", "2006", and "Early Years". :) The desktop is reserved for pics of the kids, pets, or the occasional "Far Side" cartoon.

17. I don't have a lot of that stuff.

But I do keep copies of committee transcripts and go through them mining for interesting nuggets. I will also obsess over little e-mail things and pick out phrases that seem to stay with me and then find a way to go research them later. (My latest obsession is the DCMA and the EFF and the ACLU. I am still obsessed with the Identity Theft hearing from last April in Commerce and have not yet fully satisfied my curiosity on what the connection is between ChoicePoint and their massive DNA and biometric database and the potential for abuse of that by a NSA type request from the government. I felt something at that hearing and it has sort of stuck with me.) I have these tin-foil hat moments in which I wonder what Mr. Kerry was told when he got the Security Briefings when he was the Dem Nominee and I wonder if any of this info ever comes out in Committee hearings. (I wonder if Sen. Kerry was told about the NSA spying stuff when he was getting the PDB-lite stuff in 2004. I seriously doubt it, but I wonder.)

Does this count? I have a 'Kerry at Committee hearings' thing. (There is probably a listing for this disorder in the Annals of Psychiatry Journal somewhere. I must find it.)

Ahm, I do have some of the other stuff. I tend to delete any images that are commonly found elsewhere. (What's the point of having duplicate sources of information? If it is cataloged and properly placed in it's library holding spot, then I tend to erase it from other access points. It's a duplication of effort that is unnecessary.)

...all obsessed. But it's only a problem if we are unaware of it!:7 Our obsession has a purpose...ELECTING John Kerry President, should he choose to run. Once that happens, we'll all be fine.:patriot:
