The Hill-Front page article on possibility of 2008 Kerry run.
I just stumbled ac crossed this looking for another Kerry site. A lot of positive and some of the same old talking points without merit stuff. This is the third article I have seen this week pertaining to Kerry in 2008.

The political team Kerry has hired to staff his new leadership political action committee, Keeping America’s Promise, indicates that he is gearing up for just such a showdown. Kerry has hired John Giesser, the No. 2 operative at the DNC in 2000 and 2004, to run it and Jay Dunn, who served as DNC finance director, to manage its finances.

“Everything he is doing from a political standpoint points in that direction,” said Steve Grossman, who served as DNC chairman in 1998, of the likelihood of another presidential run for Kerry. “That’s a very, very high-powered team that he’s keeping in place. You don’t generally spend those kind of resources and put that effort in building the A team to run for another term in the U.S. Senate.”

that crawled out from under the woodwork. Wasn't he nasty? I wonder who he is working for? And those people claiming they asked Kerry for their money back- how childish. I wonder if Kerry returned it?

On edit, look what I found! He is supporting Biden. This info comes from the Hill also.
http://www.hillnews.com/thehill/export/TheHill/News/Frontpage/062905/biden.html

Supporter Joe Cari, who served as national finance chairman of the Democratic National Committee in 2000, said that putting together a national fundraising base is "one of the challenges." But the importance of fundraising may be overstated in a crowded Democratic field, he said, adding, "Remember, Kerry had no money until he won somewhere. Money will follow the message."

Cari, who lives in Chicago, said Biden would do a "significant" fundraising event in that city in the fall and is "going to be on the road a great deal in the summer testing his message, meeting with donors and doing fundraisers."

5. You are right and he also pleaded guilty in and financial scandal
in Chicago involving pensions and extortion. Why would Biden want someone associated with his campaign who could create controversy? We are trying to clean up politics aren't we? We are suppose to be the "clean" party aren't we?

The scandal has been widely watched because Cari, in his guilty plea in September, alleged that Levine told him Gov. Blagojevich and top fund-raisers Christopher Kelly and Antoin "Tony" Rezko schemed to steer state pension deals to investment firms and consultants who agreed to donate to Blagojevich's campaign.

10. He may need the money back
to pay his legal fees.

Scum like that has no place in Democratic fundraising. He should switch parties so he can spend more time with his own kind.

3. Dam right he's not yesterday's man
The article started out positive - with discussing how Kerry has kept in touch with his base.

But then that crap - why did they have to put that in there? Ok - one story about someone who was upset with the leftover $$, but did they really have to put in two people with the same negative message? grrr

7. The one man who asked for his money back is not up and up.
I hope Kerry did give him his money back. If I were Kerry, I wouldn't want to be associated with him at all.

8. The article is from May, 2005
And we all know that Kerry has been doing a lot since then to change the way he communicates with voters and potential supporters. Connecting with the blogosphere via DKos and HuffPo, making fairly frequent stops by the Ed Schultz show, leading the Alito filibuster effort, they are all helping to change the way people outside the beltway perceive him. 'The Hill' is very much an 'inside the beltway' publication. And those aren't the people who really make a difference at the polls. Kerry is talking directly to the people, and they are the ones who can make a difference for him in 2008.

11. It was late and I didn't notice the date to the right either. Anyway,
I am even more suprised that it has so much positive in it even if it was from May 05. It would appear to me that he has gained even more monentium since then.
Also, it was interesting to find out about one of Biden's financial fund raising consultants.

This may have been old news to you, but I hadn't seen it before.

12. Hurray!
I hope so! I think IF Hillary does run he'd be great to run against. Does anybody have any poll numbers with Kerry with democrats? Last year Stephanie Miller gave a poll raiting and than he had 80% with democrats and that was the highest ever with one's own party after a presidential run and "failed" in recent history so it's very good for Kerry and I'm excited! I think a lot of people gained re-respect for Kerry after the filibuster.
