An answer from JK on that burning question that comes up here from time
to time: what exactly is his eye color?

Found this on a Freeper site. Don't ask.

Posted on 10/18/2004

On Saturday, MSNBC reported that John Kerry applied for an Ohio hunting license.

Most notable about that event is that Kerry hedged on naming the color of his own eyes, telling the clerk that they were "hazel..Blue some days."

He then asked, "Do they have 'blue some days' in the computer?"

1. That sounds about right.
I have hazel eyes and they can look different colors on different days.

Love his answer by the way. It really highlights his aloofness.

9. It also depends on outfits
My eyes are hazel too. I have a lot of green I wear so if I'm wearing a green shirt sometimes my eyes can appear a bit more green than if I'm wearing a blue shirt or a darker color.

4. Yay!
Same color as mine. I usually describe my eyes as hazel, sometimes blue, sometimes green. Too bad that doesn't fit on the driver's license.
People with hazel eyes should be allowed addiional space for description.

5. Check out the first photo JI7 posted and the last one I posted.
His body language is EXACTLY the same in both photos. (His eyes do look much more tired in the photo I posted though.) JK always looks so dignified, intelligent, Presidential and thoughtful. Never chimplike.

6. he always looks intelligent without even trying;
and the so-called president never does, try as he might. These are the best eye color ones I've got--don't help much but, oh well...

7. They looked blue at the pub
And hazel at the ballroom. My daughter has a similar 'problem'. Her eyes are either brown or hazel, depending on the lighting. Leave it to freepers to try to make hay out of something like that.

10. A little related story.
Remember my sodalite thread?

I work (right now) in an airport gift shop and among other things, we sell loose semi-precious stones.
Today, a young woman named Gretchen came in and asked me if I knew what the rocks meant, she said they were for her dad taking a test. I figured her dad was taking a geology class, so I said, "I know what sodalite means, but I'm afraid you'll have to go to the Discovery Channel store to find out about the others..."
I did mention something about magic symbolism of various stones tha I had read on Google.

She answered that her dad was taking the bar exam. Then I say, "Then probably you won't want to know about symbolism... they have questions about rocks on a bar exam?!"

Then she said, she was looking for a little good-luck charm for her dad, to do well on the test.

Bingo!

I tell her *all* about sodalite, how it's good for clear thinking, etc. I said it would be perfect for anyone studying for an important exam.

But the icing on the cake was this: I decided to share a little bit of my sodalite-Kerry story. Even how I called sodalites "Kerry eyes".
She thought that was cool.

And as a cherry on top,she said that Kerry was cool.

*stars in her eyes*

Sooooo, what's this all about?
1. I found another Kerrycrat.
2. I may have turned someone on to the sodalite-Kerry connection!

*grins*

11. Is "beautiful" a color?
I mean Christ on a crutch, LOOK at those peepers!

Besides, I fully understand not knowing how to describe your own eye color. Mine are mostly green, with some kind of yellowish-gold flecks around the pupil. Depending on what color make-up, shirt, or even hair I am sporting, they can either look REALLY green, or well...hazel. Isn't hazel just a combo of two or more colors?

Whatever the color...he is a STUNNER.
