Sent the Abramoff stuff to the Senate Finance Committee? No who do we know on that committee who can be relied on to 'make something of it'? Who indeed.

This is a big deal. Ralph Reed is extremely corrupt. Norquist too has been pretending innocence

2. Someone is already planting stories
that are designed to confuse. The beginning of this article in the Cape Cod Times does that damning by association thing between Kerry, the Indian tribes and ABramoff. Look closely at their chart. This is wrong. Kerry never got a dime from Ambramoff. The CCTimes article implies otherwise.

Not good, but I expect this type of sleazy stuff from the Rethugs. Confuse, confuse, confuse.

3. So now it's illegal
to write a letter? The article is about Doolittle. It's crazy: confuse by mention people's names in the same article. Really desperate stuff now.

4. That chart really is lying - and they are likely to say it was
Edited on Tue Feb-21-06 02:23 PM by karynnj
a "mistake". Look at the difference in the amount of money in that column anyway - they put Kerry as getting $500 - less than anyone else.

So he wrote a letter for Massachusetts native Americans. What does he thing he is, their Senator?

5. But he never got any money from Abramoff
at all. He did get money from the Wampanoag tribe over the years, as did Sen. Kennedy. But that was without any discernable quid pro quo, which is what the whole damn Abramoff scandal is about.

Again, blaming the Indians for this is like saying you were loaned money from a mugging victim. So what? There was a mugging and there was a victim, and that is what matters, not who the victim once gave money to.

6. Sorry I thought I was saying that
also I heard Kerry say that he never got a dime from Abramoff and had never met him - (when he was on with Stephanopolis.)

7. Oh, I know that you know this
(no, infinite loop of innate understanding approaching.) Ahm, I probably wrote it badly. We agree, Kerry is not sleazy and didn't take anything for his vote.

So why is the Cape Cod Times implying that he did? What is up with those people anyway? Sigh!

8. The Wampanoags are a MA tribe
Nothing unusual about Kerry getting a small contribution from some constituents who just happen to be Native Americans. Egad, they really are reaching, aren't they?
