Why post this here you ask? Because the band is Lifehouse and there is a horrible vicious rumor that it might be (psst...christian rock). Only because the members are openly Christian and started playing in their church (hateful souls that they are :eyes:) I'm not sure if it's true, I think it's only based on them being Christian in their personal lives and thanking God on the CD credits. So rather than risk it in Lounge, I went here!

Do you like any bands that lean Christian/Catholic?

2. The band U2...
...in their early days were Christians who rocked. They weren't evangelists, but their work was informed by a readily-apparent Catholic sensibility.

I don't notice that as much anymore in their work, but, as their eminently-quotable lead man Bono once stated, "Van Morrison started out singing about girls and ended up singing about God. We did the opposite."

3. Jars of Clay
Some of their stuff is really powerful. "Flood," in particular.

Many years ago our cable system had a channel that played Christian videos in the afternoon. (It shared airtime with EWTN, as a matter of fact. Now, the system carries neither.) Most of the "Christian" music genre is really quite good -- musically and lyrically it's a refreshing change from mainstream stuff you hear ad nauseam on MTV, etc.

Never knew of Jars of Clay until one of their videos literally stopped me in my tracks one day.
