Did anyone see the article in Newsweek about the use of EEG
to determine the optimum drug treatment? Apparently, EEG results can't be correlated with symptoms ( 10 depressives will have 10 different tracings) but 75% of the time, people with Tracing A respond to drug A, people with tracing B respond to B, etc. If it's true, it's a way pout of drug roulette.

1. man, would that be great to have a tool. any tool.
drug roulette makes treatment sooooo hard. so many people who could be treated give up. so many people have absolutely dangerous side effects. and the whole freakin' process is just obscenely long.
is this just an ordinary eeg? as in, can they go back and look at an old one? kiddo had one in the hospital. don't think she would sit still for one today.

2. I think it is an ordinary EEG, but the interpretation runs up the cost to $500
Still, cheaper than a year of drug roulette.
