does it ever get any easier?
i'm back on my meds, back in therapy, eating better and more often, getting more sleep. hopefully my energy will come back once my med levels get up and i'll feel like exercising.

why do i feel like i'm swimming against the tide? more often than not, i come home and sink. i'm sad, i'm irritable, i'm tired, i'm crying more.

i know part of it's horomonal (gotta love being a woman), part of it is work (this job will grind me to nothing if i don't get out of it soon) and i know i've gotta get my med levels back up, but it's been so long since i've felt this way.

sigh...i just want to feel human

1. Yes, it's going to get better.
When you're down in the abyss it's hard to remember that you ever felt any different. But you need to keep telling yourself that you've felt better before and you'll get there again. The medicine is probably already beginning to help you feel better but it's hard to tell in the beginning.

Keep us posted of how you're doing. You're in my thoughts.

2. 1) Yes it will get better
2) It sounds pretty good as is. Better then it was anyway.

My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend. Please keep in mind that perhaps some social activities might be worth looking in to. Also, keep posting here. Be part of a community, part of our DU community.

I always found that comedy was a big help to me. It always got better with a little woody allen or seinfeld rerun.

Peace and low stress to you and yours my friend.

4. i do have it pretty good, overall
which then makes me feel guilty when i do vent (but that's a whole different issue)

i've been thinking about volunteering, i'm sure it would be good for me. i've gotta break this rut somehow and that's as good a place as any to start

thank you for your words and thoughts

5. since you enjoy politics, could you do something with that?
Either through a local org or dem party, or through moveon?

Also, if you do volunteer (and you are on SSI SSDI) please keep your volunteer work on the down low as it may effect your eligibility (they won't ask about it, so don't disclose).

Please keep posting here. I think it can be of great benefit for all.

Peace out.

6. Hi, kagehime...
It WILL get better. I've dealt with depression for 20 years. It will get better!

It takes time and you need to remember to work WITH your condition, not AGAINST your condition (I hope that makes sense). In other words, be good to yourself and give yourself the extra time you need to proceed through your day.

And here's a  for you.
