Coping with the holidays....
I was reading a thread where an atheist was talking about how he disliked the holidays cause he dislikes religion etc etc..but another atheist posted a nice little response about how he might not believe in God ect but enjoys the food and family aspects of the season. Not trying to bash this happy little post but it really hit me and sent me into a funk.
I am NOT looking forward to dealing with certain members of my family at Thanksgiving and later. Even the members I am not mad at, I don't feel that comfortable dealing with right now. So this is going to be stressful for me to do this. At the same time, those handful of close friends that I actually want to talk to/see are so busy with their own personal stuff/holiday stuff that I don't get to hear from them much.....
I have heard about how those who are lonely and depressed have a hard time dealing with all the happy-happy holiday cheer shit that is tossed about at this time of year but this is the first time I have gone into the holiday season feeling so completely alienated and alone...Its gonna be a long and difficult holiday season for me...And with all the business and stress I have at my job right now...Taking the time to go to the doctor (plus the fact that I am under a financial strain right now) is next to impossible.
Thinking and hoping that posting here will help. Thanks for listening.:(

4. looks like a letter I need to send out-though I wasn't quite so mean, this coming from a newly
diagnosed BP...

I did apologize to BF's daughter for yelling at her a few years ago, next I need to talk to his son.

Then I get to have a very long talk with my 19YO son when he gets back from NJ tomorrow.

I am just now learning that irritability is one of the symptoms of BP. If son also has BP (strong likelyhood here) it will explain why when we were both symptomatic is when we had our longest worst arguments. And I had just chalked most of it up to his being a teenagaer and my dealing with anemia and pain issues.

I also am realizing that looking back there is a good possibility that most of my BFs were also BP, seems we are good at finding each other.

Good luck and glad to hear there is hope.
