it's covering the bottom mattress of my futon.

6. That one
is keeping the north wind a bay.

I have a nice plush blue one that says
'Borland' on the futon. It was a bonus
from my last good boss.

3. I love the self-portraits.
Your submission to the contest is in my top 3.
I wonder if this group is UP for a self-portrait challenge?

We have a shared interest in the bicycle forum.

4. Oh, please - no self-portraits.
Edited on Sat Feb-11-06 05:27 PM by Blue_In_AK
Some of us are just much too boring-looking for that. Ack. :silly:

8. It wouldn't need to be "Traditional".
One of the benefits of being behind the camera is that you don't have to be in the picture.
When taking group photos, I've actually told people that the timer on my camera is broken so I can't be in the picture.

I was thinking along creative lines....not just a standard picture of myself.
It could be a picture of something else that is especially loved (an aspect of self),
or a surrealist vision of a dream for the future..?

RagininMiami posted some self-portraits a few weeks ago that I really liked.

(Hi Ragin...borrowed your pic...thanks)
Maybe this is not a legal self-portrait since he obviously didn't take this pictrue.
Perhaps a better challenge theme would be Portrait of Self.

Here is a Portrait of MySelf :

But I couldn't enter it since its not a photograph.
But this would work:

:+

or maybe not.
(sigh) This is what my Saturday Nights have come to.

5. What can I say
bikes RAWK!

And not riding is part of what makes winter bad for me, but since the stroke, cold air does really bad things to half my body.

9.  Portrait of Self from yesterday:

If you get through this area (Minneapolis), give me a call.
We have some of the best bike paths/ commuter trails in the country,
and the weather is very hospitable for 1/2 the year.

But only a few hardy souls are out this time of year.

I will end up in Vancouver BC in a couple of years.
I hope they have mild winters.

10. I'd love an "extreme self-portrait" challenge.
Edited on Sat Feb-11-06 09:52 PM by intheflow
Post a self-portrait of yourself in a unique setting. Raging's photo counts because he's working. Blue could set herself out in some Alaskan backdrop. Or it could be the perspectiive it's taken from. Or crazy studio lighting. I love the possibilities of an "extreme self-portrait" challenge. :D

The self-portrait thing. Just as long as anything goes. Count me in if there are no hard rules.
