1. Beautiful
Edited on Sun Feb-19-06 10:20 PM by NV Whino
But for photos like this, we need data. Tripod? Speed? Aperture? You know, all the good stuff so we can go out and make beautiful night shots too. And were these black and white or converted digital black and white?

2. DOH!
At any rate, taken in columbus, Ohio with a digital camera (Fujji Film S5000). Taken as B&W with night vision enhancement turned on.

3. Super!
I love night pictures. I always take color pics, but next time I'll do color and then try the b&w setting and see how they compare.

5. I got to see your wife's

pics earlier but didn't get to post. They are gone now though. I really liked them and tell her she has some talent. As for leaving all the technical mumbo jumbo, it is nice to do but you aren't the only one that doesn't by far. Most of us forget. So don't feel bad about not leaving it originally. Would love for the pics to come back though.

Also welcome to the photogroup.

6. This poses the question.........
Although pixies are gone, I do remember them.

Question? "They" say it's better to shoot in color then convert to B&W. I've taken a few test snaps with my camera in B&W mode, but have honored the spoken "rule" of digital and not used it. Should you always shoot in color then convert to B&W?

7. I think it would depend on your camera.
I think they say shoot in color etc so you have all the info there in case it is better in color. Or so you have a choice. You do have more control when converting it from color to black and white. Then again, I don't think my digital camera has a black and white setting. If it does I don't know where it is or I would try it with the IF.
