1. Subject: Oooh! Ah! Wow!

Sometimes you come across some purely lovely light -- and have the good fortune to get in on film (or digital). Holding the color in the foreground Birch (or whatever) makes it work. My very aged mother has a pathetic cat creature that drools when stroked. This image makes me drool and gives me a deeper understanding of that cat as well. Very nice!

:blush: Getting the light in the foreground is definitely the tricky part. That's what I've been practicing lately with the manual settings. I have to admit I played with the contrast a little on this one once I got it on the computer because the original was darker than I wanted, but I'm pretty happy with the way it looks now. It's much more like the scene actually appeared in real life, although I still couldn't get the green of the leaves in the way I would have liked to.
