the fact it's gonna get down to 38 here tonight...

That is so darn cold up there that if ya could throw a ball - I imagine it would freeze in mid-air.

3. It's relatively mild here compared to other places in Alaska
Here's a little quip that was in this morning's newspaper...

and saw the first daffodil bloom in the yard today.

8. Saw a couple daffodils on my walk this weekend
such a welcome sight. In my Ohio days - when a crocus popped up thru the snow it was teh first sign of hope. Of course winter went on endlessly anyway :-)
