Spring is here, least for this week.
We have had a warm week and sun so everything came to life, finally. Seems late and cooling off again next week. I have a feeling it will be a short spring and skip into summer weather soon.

On Earth Day I saw my first Hummingbird of the year. This picture is the second sighting since I just enjoyed the first one and did not run to grab the camera.

The the tulips finally popped open. They looked ready to bloom for a while but I guess they wanted more sun first.

Finally the apple tree blossomed out and the bees are busy. Looks like both us and the deer will have plenty of apples later this year.

The birds are hitting the birdbath for more than a sip of water.

And Zaiden can run and run without getting muddy and needing a bath before coming back inside.

Though he has found his favorite "stick" to play fetch with. I thought it was bad when I had the 2x4 loving GSD but this one needs more, a untreated 4x4. Hard on the arms.

Still working on him with the brush. Looks like he has at least 20 lbs more fur that needs to come off along with some winter weight. The little dogs were sleeping in the sun so I left them be.

2. I just saw those.
I think you should get some food coloring out. They are great pictures, as long as I am not there suffering.

I was going to post these yesterday but when I saw your snow pics I thought it would be too cruel. So I waited a day but I did finally get the camera out and celebrate our short spring. Just remember in a few weeks it will be hot, humid and hazy here and though I will love it most will be complaining. The nice warm but comfy weather just doesn't last long. Ours is late and just finally heading out to get the garden started, it had been to cold or rainy to get anything started until now.

3. These are great photos
It looks like you have a nice ruby throated hummingbird drinking in the nectar and is that a robin or an oriole in the birdbath? The flower images are very strong and Zaiden looks like one happy dog.

5. Thank you. It is a Robin in the
birdbath. A brave one since they usually hightail it as soon as they see me or anything moves around them. The only hummingbirds I get are ruby throated and I am beginning to think I get the same ones every year. A second female was out there this morning, she is a bit shorter and fatter than the first one that has been visiting. Still waiting to catch a male. I know he is coming eventually.
I need to find out if there are any groups that band the hummers in the area then I would know for sure if they are the same ones.

6. The dog is so happy to be running free
and not getting hosed down before coming back inside. Now if he would learn that a regular stick works fine for playing fetch my arms would be happier.

8. Uhm
And why didn't you enter the bird in the bath, or the bee on the apple blossoms, or even the hummingbird?? Not to knock your tulip close-up - but these are just outstanding, crowd-pleasing, spring pictures.

9. I didn't think of it?
You will have to ask regnaD (or Blue or a few others)about me, birds and the contest. I almost feel like it is cheating even though I think Maestro is the best bird photog in the group. His are always great, me I get lucky once in a while. Though I am seriously thinking about entering it in the monthly contest. Depends on if I can find the white deer in time and get a decent shot of one or two of them. Some how, sometime I am getting a shot of them for the photo group this year.

10. Yeah, but so many people won't see them
Then again, my favorite is the purple and white rhododendron, so what do I know about crowd pleasing. Where are the white deer? I think I missed that.

11. I haven't gotten recent photos of them
yet but they live near me. A whole herd of them. lol It is a matter of getting over to where they are and hoping they come out of the woods when I am there. I think they are fallow deer though I always called them white reindeer. I'll have to ask the guy that has them to be sure.

14. Hopefully sooner than later.
Just finished planting flowers and getting more. Might just schedule a day to get over there next week. I can only plant so much and not take a break.
