Was out shooting for this months contest - and got trampled by greylag geese (at least I think they were greylag).
4 pairs with goslings. About 25 of them total.

None of the shots were really contest material as the light and sharpness was lacking in a lot of them. But I thought I would share my favourites.

Slightly out of focus - and kiling self for it. What a motive. (even if the water was rather messy)


The big ones never let me out of sight :) Was moving slowly around to avoid disturbing them too much.

1. They're really cute.

I don't think we get that kind up here. All I've ever seen are Canada geese and snow geese, and it's still too early for the babies. These are adorable.

2. I'm pretty partial to feathered friends.

Unfortunately I know next to nothing about ducks and geese. I like the gosling best. Great eye contact.

Maybe the colors are too dark, don't know. But it's such a cute picture. Take it if you like it.
