2. Thank you, what a sweet thing to get praise from you.
This was Home Depot in Winston-Salem.
I felt honored being there for this sunset. It was very special.

6. And I will, too. Look at this:

The Lowes is closer to my house but in the opposite direction.
I left Sams and went with Costco for political reasons and was very vocal about it.
I have the technology to do that.

I'll go to Lowes at sunrise, how's that?

7. Can't wait....
......to see the results.

BTW, the Home Depot has been on my personal "hit list" for years, and Lowe's is the hardware store of choice for us.

We also love Costco, and haven't stepped into a Sam's Club in years.

Wal-mart, Disney, ABC-TV, and a few others are also on the list.

Ditched my subscription to our only hometime daily paper, the Dallas Morning News, which is owned by the Belo Corp. (huge Bush supporters), which also owns the ABC-TV affiliate in Dallas.

If progressives were only more aware of WHO they buy from in their day-to-day lives, the power of the purse could be an incredibly useful tool. Especially in today's economic environment. Sure, there are some times you just can't get around having to rely on one of these "other" vendors, but that's few and far between for us.

Just my 2-cents worth.

8. You're not too new here, but you don't talk much, eh? You should, your 2 cents
is valuable.
(I just know you are not my Ex who supposedly lives in Dallas, you don't look like him :))

9. Well, thank you....
....and you're right, I tend to use words rather sparingly.

I guess it's sorta that old "quality, not quantity" perspective.

Plus, I know that if I started commenting on everything I found on DU that was interesting, cute, smart, funny, loathsome, disgusting, unbelievable, and/or amusing.......I would NEVER have time to take another photograph.

P.S. - You don't look like neither of my Ex-es, either. :-)

10. Wow
The first one is sure "red". It has about every shade in the orange side of red. I'm not sure that I have ever seen a sunset that "red" and that BIG. i'm so glad you had your camera.

11. Congratulations on your happy new name. Thanks for the comments.
You are the second person to say that it's "red" and a contender.
I'll go back to the other pictures I did not post, and study them a bit.
