Three pics from last year I'd forgotten about...
I've spent a bit of time over the past couple of weeks looking through 2008 shots for things I'd overlooked before. These are three that fell into that category. I'm interested to know whether anyone else sifts through the archives and realizes: "Hey. Not too bad."

1. Submit the first one as your monthly contest entry...!
Then, when anyone asks just why a photo that's entirely pure blue and white is being entered in a contest with the theme of "red," just reply that, if they can't figure it out on their own, they don't deserve having it explained to them.

2. Three very nice pics.....
.....especially the black & white.

I've sifted through my archives on more than one occasion recently, and thought to myself, "Hey, you need to get out more."

:-)

6. That's always the best messages to get from the exercise.
Back in my band days, I always used to insist that the best songs were the ones we hadn't written yet. Applies well to photography too.

3. That BW one has good angles
especially against the pouffy clouds. The others are making me wish summer would hurry up.

My archive only goes back ~1 year and most of them deserve to be burned.

4. How's this?
I found a street scene I'd forgotten about. It was freezing that day. I found a perch up among the pigeons to drink my coffee and photograph the passersby. This picture's story is not clear to me. At one point, this man offered a flower to a woman and she gave him the dirtiest glare. I don't think they knew each other. They just walked away without a word.

7. That's a photo that simply "works"
Everything about it works. The story is ambiguous, but it's unquestionable that there is a story there, and a fascinating one. Great stuff.
