Another Georgia sunrise..
Haven't had much time for photography the last week or so and I've been a bit under the weather too which hasn't helped.

Got this shot this morning on the way home from taking my grandkids to school, three exposures with the autobracket setting on my pocket cam -1 stop, normal and +1 stop combined into a high dynamic range image and then tweaked with Photomatix Pro 3.1..

1. wow lots of reds in that one, very nice
I always thought it was interesting taking carpool in the mornings right after time changes. Everything looks different. You must have gotten up in the dark. Last week you wouldn't have seen this after dropping the kids off.

2. Exactly..
Everything looks quite different, I was sick yesterday and didn't take them, their great uncle did so this was my first look in the new light.

I like taking pictures near sunrise and sunset, the angled and tinted light makes everything more dramatic. It does make wildlife pics more challenging though since I don't have a really fast telephoto lens yet. I'm still looking for something I can afford, my birthday's coming up in a month and that's what I'm treating myself to. So far the best compromise I have found is an old 300mm f4 Super Takumar Pentax manual lens in serviceable but somewhat battered shape.. It would be almost as sharp as a modern APO and about two stops slower for about ten percent of the price.

Thanks, BTW.
