1. Oh my God - you made this up. I can barely stand it. This just looks unreal.
would you tell me a little bit about where it is, how you took it (just the basics, the rest I would not understand) and if the man in the moon talked to you. I can't believe the landscapes on earth and the moon. I know you are proud of this photo.
I don't think I've seen any with a richer color on the moon, it looks like it leaked all over the mountaintops.

3. I was just as stunned when I saw it last night.
My son took it with his Canon EOS Rebel XSi. He had a zoom lens on it, but since he just left for work, I cannot tell you anything about the lens. He was leaving the house yesterday morning and caught the shot from our driveway at about 7:30.

The mountains are part of the Stansbury Range in Tooele County, Utah.

I must say Mr. Moon looks as grand this morning.

2. I agree with the above poster, it's a nice shot..
And a few details of how you did it would be nice, this forum is a learning tool for many of us and giving the specifics of unusual shots helps others who are trying or would like to try something similar.

7. A few requested details...
Thank you all for the kind comments. I only took the pic, Mother Nature provided the rest. The previous posters are correct. The Camera is canons new 12.2 mpxl DSLR. The lens is the Canon 55mm-250mm EFS. The only additional thing that I added was a Hoya UV Filter to help reduce the morning haze.
